Lazy loading, fallbacks and restraint: how we ship real-time 3D that still loads fast.
Real-time 3D can turn a homepage into an experience. It can also add megabytes and drain batteries.
Our rules: load the 3D scene only after the page is usable, keep geometry procedural where possible, cap pixel ratio, and always provide a lightweight fallback for phones and reduced-motion users.
Most importantly, 3D should support the story — a product you can turn, a mood you can feel — not exist because it can.
